2018 Vintage Review
The 2018 Vintage was early and fast however quality is very good, particularly sparkling wines but also Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. A warmer than average year with average rainfall meant very good growing conditions. good vigour and a very good crop. In fact the 2018 Tasmanian wine crop was the largest harvest on record. Super premium sparkling fruit was harvested in mid February and table wines followed on quickly after the sparkling crop was finished. Flavour development was good and colour in the Pinot Noirs looks very good.
Pinot Noirs have lovely perfume, vibrancy and red fruits , whilst Chardonnays have elegant fruit aromatics and flavours, lovely texture and acidity.
